Samantha Skunk presented her “positive anti-tobacco message” to 42 second-grade students at the Rumford Elementary School. Mountain Valley High School students Abby Bronish (as Samantha Skunk) and Brianna Shaw (doing introductions) are fighting against tobacco. Sponsored by the River Valley Healthy Communities Coalition, they bring the magenta skunk, with her story about why “Smoking Stinks,” to elementary students. After the story, the children discuss the harmful effects of smoking and why they should never start.
