AUGUSTA – Maine Campus Compact, a consortium of ME institutions of higher education, is holding its annual awards ceremony Wednesday, April 2, at the State House.

The consortium will honor four individuals from the Lewiston/Auburn area.

David Harris, professor of natural and applied sciences at USM’s Lewiston/Auburn College, will be presented with the Donald Harward Award for Service Learning Excellence.

Two students from the same institution will also be honored. Khadra Jama and Backi Quimby will receive the student Heart and Soul Award for civic engagement.

Bates College student Jessica Adleman will also receive the student Heart and Soul Award.
