SOUTHINGTON, Conn. – Gerald Bisson, 85, of Southington, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, March 26, at Bradley Memorial. He was the beloved husband of Muriel Ring Bisson. They were married for 63 years.

He was born May 25, 1922, in Lewiston, the son of the late Alphonse and Jeanne (DeRocher) Bisson. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army. He received many medals, including the Silver Star.

In addition to his wife, he leaves seven children, two sons, Ronald Bisson and his wife, Debra Oaks, and Alan Bisson; five daughters, Janice Bertolo and her husband, Robert, Carol Dawiczyk and her husband, George, Gail Angeletti and her husband, Ralph, Doreen Bisson and Bonnie Misiorski and her husband, David; one brother, Lucien Bisson of Turner; four sisters, Yvette LaMontagne, Irene Plourde and Lucille Reny, all of Auburn, and Jeanette Joncas of New Gloucester; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two loving sisters-in-law; and a brother-in-law.

He was predeceased by a grandson, Damon Bertolo; and a sister, Muriel Belanger.
