LEWISTON – A funeral Mass honoring the life of Paul F. Chiarantona was celebrated Thursday at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul after prayers at the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home. The Rev. Lionel Chouinard celebrated the Mass and Brother Irenee Richards recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Lewiston Police Department’s honor guard presented our country’s flag to Mrs. Mona Chiarantona. Mayor Larry Gilbert was present representing the city of Lewiston, also a delegation from Shaw’s Supermarket were in attendance. Pallbearers were Mark Dick, James Chappell, Paul Chiarantona, Brian Mahon, Jake Plattner and Kurk MacKenzie. A reception of fellowship was held at Marco’s Restaurant after the committal prayers at the cemetery.
