OXFORD – Charlotte Ann England, a retired special education teacher in a rural Maine school, will give a talk on her work as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in rural schools in South Africa at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, March 30, in a public meeting at the Oxford Congregational Church, King Street.
The public is invited to hear the presentation on the work of the U.S. Peace Corps in rural South Africa.
As well as her presentation with photos taken of her work in a rural village in Mpumalanga Province of South Africa, England will discuss the opportunities available in the U.S. Peace Corps for persons of various ages and backgrounds.
Retired persons and senior citizens interested in working overseas for the U.S. Peace Corps will find England’s presentation of particular interest.
The presentation is being sponsored by the Fellowship Committee of the Oxford Congregational Church, UCC, Lois Witham, chairwoman.
