LEWISTON – Department of Maine Commander Wille Danforth has announced that the Franco American War Veterans national meeting will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at the Multi-Purpose Center, 145 Birch St. The Departments of Maine, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island will be represented.

Members will discuss the 2008 national convention being held Sept 19 to 21 in New Britain, Conn., and the 2008 Department of Connecticut state convention on May 17 in New Britain.

They will also discuss the monthly national meeting to be held on June 7 in New Britain, Conn., along with other business. The national officers include Commander Willie Danforth, Senior Vice Robert Levesque, Chaplain Cecile Burgoyne and Adjutant Lindy McCallum of Maine.
