FARMINGTON – Salma A. Landry, 84, of Wilton, passed away, Friday, March 28, at the Franklin Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 25, 1924, in Rumford the daughter of Elias and Aman (Mouzaity) Maria. She received her education at Stephens High School in Rumford, Farmington and Livermore Falls High schools.
On Feb. 9, 1946, she married Joseph M. Landry in Rumford.
She was employed at Berst Foster in Dixfield, G.H. Bass in Wilton, Farmington Shoe and later at Foster Manufacturing from where she retired as the credit manager in 1983.
She was a former member St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wilton. She was also a member of the Triple Town Swingers and Friendship Square Dance Club. She enjoyed bowling, square and round dancing, playing cards, traveling, bingo and crafts.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Joseph of Wilton; a son, Timothy Landry of Newmarket, N.H.; a sister, Elizabeth Latini of Falmouth; a brother, Raymond Maria of Ormand Beach, Fla., and Sebago Lake; a grandson, Jamie of New York City, N.Y.; a granddaughter, Kathleen of Montpelier, Vt.; a stepgranddaughter, Jenifer of Bangor; one great-grandson, Ellis of Montpelier, Vt.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, William and Arthur Maria; and a nephew, Matty Latini.
