Lewiston – Bruce L. Alexander 51, of 26 Enfield St. Auburn, died peacefully on Thursday, March 27, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center after a brief illness with his loving family at his side.
He was born in Lewiston on May 9, 1956, a son of Victor J. Alexander and Madlyn (Traynor) Atkins. He was educated in local schools and graduated from Edward Little High School, class of 1975. Bruce worked as chef at Rolandeaus and other local restaurants.
He then worked for BIW for many years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 153. Bruce was a dedicated Red Sox, New England Patriots and Bruins fan. He enjoyed bowling at Holiday Lanes, playing softball, golfing, and loved to cook for family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Madlyn Atkins of Auburn; a son, Nicholas Alexander and his companion, Sharlie Foss, of Auburn; a daughter, Kady Alexander and her companion, Daniel Flynn, of Poland; a grandson, Cooper; brothers and sister, Timothy Alexander and his wife, Marsha, of Auburn, Gary Alexander and his wife, Karen, of Lewiston, Scott Alexander and his wife, Donna, of Auburn, Vicki Lussier and her husband, Bob, of Auburn and David Alexander and his wife, Michelle, of Minot; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Victor; and his step-father, Walter Atkins.
Those that knew him will always have stories to tell and memories to share of a man who touched our lives in so many ways. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center for their wonderful care and compassion they provided. A heartfelt thanks to all the many friends for their support. As Bruce would say “SSSHAKE IT DOWN!”
