NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) – Police say a woman was shot and another is missing after someone broke into a New Britain home Sunday morning.

The break-in occurred between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. at home on Woodhaven Drive.

A few hours later, police in Watertown recovered a car that had been stolen from the home, and arrested a suspect.

Police say they are still looking for the elderly white woman who was at the home this morning.

The other woman was sent to Hartford Hospital in serious condition.
