CASTINE – Several local students have been named to the dean’s list at Maine Maritime Academy for the first semester. Students named to the list earn a grade point average of 3.3 or above on a 4.0 scale.

Trevor McCourt of Jay, a member of the class of 2011, is majoring in international business and logistics. He is a graduate of Jay High School.

Christopher Carver of Auburn, class of 2011, is majoring in marine engineering technology. He is a graduate of Edward Little High School of Auburn.

Alex Chartier of Leeds, is a member of the class of 2010. He is majoring in marine engineering technology and is a graduate of Leavitt Area High School, Turner.

Andrew Joy of Lewiston, a member of the class of 2010, is majoring in marine engineering technology. He is a graduate of Lewiston High School.

Gabriel LaRoche of Lisbon, is a member of the class of 2010. He is majoring in small vessel operations. He is a graduate of Leavitt Area High School, Turner.
