School auction

RUMFORD – A live auction featuring Mark Prevost will be held Friday, April 4, at the Eagles Hall. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and the auction will start at 6:30. Call 369-8026 for details. Proceeds will benefit St. Athanasius-St. John School.

Circle to meet

RUMFORD – St. Timothy Circle 504, Daughters of Isabella, will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, at St. John’s Hall. Committee members are Chairwoman Pat Gautreau, Jane Giasson, Mary Politis, Priscilla Marquis and Marjorie Brown.

Vets advocate

RUMFORD – Robin P. Shepard, veterans advocate, visits Rumford from 9 a.m. to noon every second Thursday of the month at the Career Center on Lowell Street.

To make an appointment, call 364-3718, or just walk in. Veterans will need to bring discharge papers, DD214 and medical papers.

Calling turkeys

MEXICO – A free turkey calling forum will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, April 18, in the Town Office basement.

The open forum will be presented by Master Guide Sandy MacGregor.

She will have a PowerPoint presentation with turkey calling do’s and don’ts. Custom made and discount turkey calls will be on sale.
