The students of Oak Hill High School were asked for their favorite quotes:

“Those made of air, should not accuse the wind.”

– Jordan Gauthier, Junior

“Things not seen won’t be missed; unless they are already thought of.”

– Peter Ewing, Junior

I really do believe that “Everything happens for a reason, and anything can happen.” If I’m feeling down, this quote will help me to get through the day. If I am anticipating something, this quote makes it more exciting. This is also truth. Honesty is always good, and when you have a quote that works all the time, you can’t go wrong.

– Val Buteau, Junior

“Those who live in glass houses should not cast the first stone.”

– Mr. John Neal, Music teacher

Mr. Neal is so great, and what he says is so true! I’ve said it to many of my friends, and even my boyfriend. It helps me get through some tough times, too.

So just remember, kiddies! Don’t build a glass house! People throw stones at them!

– Morgan Pulk, Senior

My favorite quote would have to be “If you love something let it go, if it comes back, it’s yours.” This fits my boyfriend and I so well!

– Ashley Phelps, Junior

“What’s so funny ’bout peace, love and understanding?”

– Nick Lowe

Elvis Costello had the hit with this one, but it was written by British singer/songwriter Nick Lowe. I always liked the song, but this line stays with me. It’s a perfect response to the cynicism and apathy so many people seem to have. Really, what’s so funny ’bout peace, love and understanding?

It’s the perfect question.

– Mr. Hughes, English Teacher

‘”When I die, I wish to go to heaven with absolutely no talent left so when I look God in the eyes I can say “I used everything you gave me.”‘

– Emily Sabine, Senior

“Don’t ask, just know.”

Cameron Morin, Freshman
