SOUTH PARIS – Theodore W. “Ted” Davis, 92 , died Tuesday, April 1, at his residence at the Market Square Health Care Center.

He was born in Rumford, on April 12, 1915, a son of Eugene and Lottie (Swain) Davis and graduated from Stephens High School.

Ted had owned and operated, with his wife, Davis Florist in Rumford for many years until retirement and moving to Seminole, Fla., in 1974, where he managed a florist shop until he was 80. In recent years, he had resided in Bethel and South Paris.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Kora Temple Shrine, and at one time very active in the Oxford County Shrine Club.

He was married in Portsmouth, N.H., to the former Corrine S. Ross who died in Seminole, Fla., Aug. 5, 1998.

Survivors include a son, Eugene “Punky” Davis and wife, Huguette, of Bethel; grandchildren, Susan Phillips of Cumberland, Peter Davis and wife, Lynn, of Pownal and Paul Davis of New York, N.Y.; and great-grandchildren, Lauren and David Phillips III.
