PORTLAND – Timothy D. O’Leary, 58, of Byron, died Monday, March 31, at the Maine Medical Center. He was a resident of Garland Pond Road in Byron.

He was born in Rumford on Aug. 31, 1949, the son of Donald and Marilyn (Brown) O’Leary Sr. He was a graduate of Mexico High School.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1968 to 1971. He worked at Bath Iron Works as a welder, until his retirement due to ill health.

Tim was a member of the Roxbury ATV Club, Webber Avenue Club in Lewiston and Eagles Club of Auburn. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, crossword puzzles and his ATV. He loved spending time at the camp that he shared with his brother, Donald and playing Yahtzee with his cousin, Steve.

Survivors include his mother, Marilyn O’Leary of Mexico; two brothers, Thomas O’Leary and his wife, Julie, of Crestview, Fla., and Donald O’Leary Jr. of Byron; three sisters, Donna O’Leary Martin and her husband, Louis, of Auburn, Jayne O’Leary Witas and her husband, David, of Lewiston and Melissa O’Leary and her fiancé, Tim Bouchard, of Lewiston; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, Donald O’Leary Sr.
