NEW MILFORD, N.J. – Marcel B. Bisson, 41, of New Milford, N.J., died Monday, March 31, with his family by his side.

He was born in Lewiston on Dec. 5, 1966, the son of Lorraine Janas and the late Donald J. Bisson. He attended St. Peter’s parochial school and graduated from St. Dominic Regional High School in 1985, where he became a stellar goaltender for the hockey team.

After high school, he worked for Yvon’s Car Wash, the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department, United Parcel Service and Landry’s Quick Stop. He completed training in Microsoft products working for Pitney Bowes and then relocated to Alpine, N.J., accepting a position with Lanier Office Products in White Plains, N.Y. At the time of his death, he was the sole proprietor of Marcel’s Live Maine Lobsters in Dumont, N.J.

He enjoyed coming back to Maine visiting with relatives and friends at the Landry’s camp at Tacoma Lake. His hobbies were snowmobiling, water-skiing and working on his computer. He will be remembered for the fun person he was and the many New Jersey, stories he loved to tell. He was an avid sports enthusiast with a passion for the Boston Red Sox and was thrilled to have attended a World Series game in Colorado last season. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Lorraine Janas and her husband, Tom; two sisters, Linda Lebrun and her husband, Jim and Brenda Landry and her husband, Paul; one brother, Michael Bisson and his wife, Lisa, all of Lewiston; stepsisters, Susan Berube and her husband, Ron, of North Yarmouth and Nancy Roy and her husband, Peter; nieces and nephews, Ryan and Travis Lebrun, Danielle, Brianne and Jake Landry and Haley, Joseph and Nicholas Bisson, all of Lewiston; companion, Marianne DeCastro of New Milford, N.J.; aunt, Cynthia Bisson of Old Orchard Beach and Florida; uncle, Emile and aunt, Mildred Jacques of Lewiston; and many cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Cecile Bisson; maternal grandparents, Jeanne Deschenes and Alfred St. Pierre; uncle, Lionel Bisson; and nephew, Zachary Landry.
