LEWISTON – Fernande R. Hinse, 89, formerly of 319 East Ave., and Maison Marcotte died Wednesday, April 2, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Lewiston Feb. 11, 1919, a daughter of Telesphore and Eugenie Morin Charest. She was educated in Lewiston schools. She was married to Albert R. Hinse July 12, 1943. He died May 13, 1962.

She was a member of Lewiston Catholic community at Holy Family parish and a member of the Ladies of St. Anne’s Sodality. She worked at Knapp Shoe as a stitcher and also worked for Labbe’s Catering.

She is survived by her sisters, Carmen Smith of Auburn and Lorraine Dussault and her husband, Donald, of Lewiston; her brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Patricia Charest of Lewiston; her sisters-in-law, Marguerite Charest of Auburn and Bertha Libby of Lewiston; her brothers-in-law, Alfred Mercier of Lewiston and Ronald Foss and his wife, Rhonda, of Auburn and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her two sisters, Rita Mercier and Connie Foss; and three brothers, Adrien (Bill), Normand and Rene Charest.
