AUBURN – JC Concrete and Young Ones, the top two seeds, advanced to the finals of the Auburn Rec Women’s League playoffs. JC Concrete defeated Lady Ballers 66-57, while Young Ones eased past Old School 52-42.

JC Concrete 66, Lady Ballers 57 – JC: Lynn Girouard 17, Ashley Swett 16, Meghan Myles 10; LB: Jessica Newton 17, Jess Small 12, Stacey Hood 11.

Young Ones 52, Old School 42 – YO: Erin Demers 13, Andrea Forbush 10, Missy Bilodeau and Amy Lemieux 9; OS: Betsy Sibley 14, Nicole Sautter 13, Liz Barker 5.

The championship game will be played Thursday, Sept. 10 at 6:15 p.m.

A-L YMCA Hoopsters

AUBURN -Morrison & Sylvester proved too much for Androscoggin Title in a 24-20 victory in an Auburn-Lewiston YMCA Hoopsters game. Leading the way for Morrison & Sylvester was Ethan Brown, Julia Milks, and Teagan Galway with 6 points apiece. Others were Anson Jipson-Perry, Storm Jipson, and Giles Paradie with 2 points each. Jaden Legare, Brendan Whitman, and Daniel Nalley did great jobs dribbling the ball up the court. Victoria Copland and Olivia Ouellette played excellent defense.

Leading Androscoggin Title with 8 points was Ryan Lachance. Joel Stubbs was a first time scorer with 6 points. Austin Brown, Rosalie White, and Brady Downing each added 2 points each. Oliver Hall, Bobby Tremaine, and Moses Graham all played great defense. Ella Henry and Dan Milks did great jobs dribbling the ball up the court. The Hoopsters final game is next Wednesday at the YMCA.
