What is it going to take for we, the people, to remind our elected officials that the working people in Maine don’t make the wages they do? The costs of oil, gasoline, food and everything else has gone out of control.
The elected officials should not deal with lobbyists. I would suggest that lobbyists should be banned from the system. Elected officials should be making decisions in favor of the majority of their constituents.
We are taxed to death and have less and less to show for our efforts every year.
Elected officials are supposed to work for us, not for the oil groups, pharmaceutical groups and other big businesses.
Our elected officials should try and do what’s best for the state of Maine and the country, not what is best for the lobbyist cronies.
I hope this country can get back on track.
Officials need to take a hard look at what is really going on and work for the people they represent, not the lobbyists. Our representatives should be guided by their conscience (if it still exists), not their personal bankroll.
