SCOTT, La. – Paul D. Curran, 68, passed away Friday, April 4, at his home in Scott, La.

He was a native of Lewiston, and a resident of Scott since 1981.

Mr. Curran was a retired aviation mechanic for Industrial Helicopters in Lafayette, La., with 16 years of service and an additional 15 years with Petroleum Helicopters Inc. in Lafayette.

He was a parishioner of Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church in Scott and was a former member of the Elk’s Lodge. He loved boating and camping.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, the former Priscilla Janise Curran of Scott, La.; three sons, Michael Curran and his wife, Heidi, of Greene, John Wohlrab of Lewiston, and Kevin Christopher Curran and his wife, Marissa, of Duson, La.; four grandchildren, Trista Curran, Evan Curran, Michael Cruz, and Monica Kay Curran; three sisters, Christine Brandt-Peek and her husband, Jerry, of Waltham, Mass., Ruth Linehan of Lewiston, and Carmen Rioux and her husband, Phillip, of Lewiston; and close friend of the family, Michelle Diaz of Arnaudville, La.

He was predeceased by his parents, George Curran and the former Bernadette Levesque Curran Bosse, both natives of Lewiston; a stepfather, Robert Bosse; and by one sister, Estelle Leathers.

The family wishes to thank staff at Heart of Hospice, and Pam Diaz, Ranie Broussard, Franie Loesch, Brooke Thierry, and especially Dr. Henry Kauffman, for their support and care during his time of illness.
