FARMINGTON – Lettie E. Runk, 96, of Farmington went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, April 7, surrounded by her family.

She was born Oct. 22, 1911, the daughter of Titus B. and Sallie (Stremmel) Bucher and married John Runk of Brodbecks on Sept. 6, 1930, in Lineboro, Md. She worked at the sewing factory at AMP during the Korean War, at Murphy’s Five & Ten, and at the school cafeteria, all in the Hanover, Pa., area. She grew up in the Black Rock Church of the Brethren, attended several Bible-believing churches in the Hanover, Pa., area, and most recently held membership in the Hanover Evangelical Free Church.

She is survived by her two daughters, Joyce Lehman of Messiah Village in Mechanicsburg, Pa., and Florence Grimm of Farmington; three grandchildren, Dana Britton and her husband, Tom, of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Diane Heinly and her husband, Allen, of Mt. Joy, Pa., and the Rev. Brian Rebert and his wife, Sandi, of Farmington; seven great-grandchildren, Andrea and Lyndsay Britton, Jonathan and Julie Heinly, Elizabeth, Rebekah, and Jonathan Rebert; and a stepsister, Mary Miller of Cross Keys Village in New Oxford, Pa.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Runk, June 11, 1998; a grandson, Jonathan L. Rebert; and a stepbrother, Mark Wildasin.
