NORTH SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Robert J. Audet, 88, of Syracuse, N.Y., died Saturday, April 5, at Buckley Landing.
He was born March 18, 1920, in Lewiston, where he lived most of his life. He retired in 1972 from Bath Iron Works after 27 years as a shipfitter. He then retired in 1984 as head of maintenance at Lewiston High School. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a life member of the American Legion Post 22 in Lewiston and also a member of the VFW Post 153 in Baldwinsville.
He was a communicant of St. Augustine’s Church, Baldwinsville, N.Y.
Survivors include a daughter, Suzanne Rapp and her life companion, Terry Rosenbarker, of Baldwinsville; a granddaughter, Kristine; a grandson, Robert; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Jane M. Audet, in 2005.
