Rep. Sheryl Briggs, D-Mexico, presented a legislative sentiment to Eva Fitzmorris-Spaulding celebrating her 90th birthday, which was Jan. 1. Fitzmorris-Spaulding was born in the Will’s block in Mexico to Frank and Mary Fitzmorris. She was married to the late Stanley Spaulding. Briggs co-sponsored the sentiment with Sen. Bruce Bryant, D-Oxford. Fitzmorris-Spaulding’s family was there to celebrate the occasion.
