LEWISTON – Police on Monday will unveil a new program designed to help organize medical information for the elderly.

At a Monday morning Community Action Group meeting at Oak Park, police will unveil the project to provide emergency medical cards to residents. The cards will document crucial information about each person’s particular medical needs.

The cards can be affixed to a refrigerator with a magnet for easy access. The project was initiated by police Officer Thomas Murphy working with Paula Hirschhorn, resident coordinator at Oak Park.

The project will get under way at the Monday meeting scheduled for 9:30 a.m.
