LEWISTON – The Discovery School, 134 College St., announces the hiring of Andrea Lane as its new director.

Lane began her career in education by joining the home schooling movement in 1981. She received a bachelor of science degree in special education from UMF in 1996, and a master’s degree in educational leadership at USM in 2007. She was a Title I teacher in Lewiston in the 1980s and served as education director for four small private schools. She has also served as an elementary school principal in SADs 55 and 61.

The Discovery School is a creative educational alternative for Lewiston/Auburn parents.
