WILTON – The following sessions are held at the Wilton CareerCenter, 865 U.S. Route 2E in Wilton. These workshops are at no charge to the public. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities. All workshops begin promptly at listed times. Registration is required. For April and May, CareerCenter employment and training orientation is held every Monday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with an explanation of training programs and career exploration. This program provides a brief introduction to the Wilton CareerCenter services.
A CareerCenter and job search orientation is available every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon. Attendees can find out what services and resources the Wilton CareerCenter has to offer for people newly unemployed or looking for a new career. It is an overview of what is available to assist people who are looking for work. People may also register for the CareerCenter job matching system at the end of the workshop.
A workshop on preparing a resume for online applications is held every Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m.
Essentials of College Planning will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 17 and will include instructions on filling out financial aid forms to assist people in getting the maximum amount in grants or loans. Those who are interested must preregister for that session by calling 1-800-281-3703.
