PORTLAND (AP) – The price of diesel fuel has hit another high in Maine while gasoline is less than a penny off the record.
According to AAA, which tracks fuel prices nationally, a gallon of diesel topped $4.22 in Maine on Monday. Diesel is now $1.37 higher than a year ago.
AAA says Monday’s price for a gallon of unleaded was more than $3.34, which was about half a cent under the record high.
