FARMINGTON – Four people face terrorizing charges in connection with a verbal dispute that escalated into an attempted burglary and death threats Sunday night, Lt. Jack Peck said Monday.
Police responded to a 911 call about 10 p.m. Sunday with the caller reporting people were trying to break into a Pillsbury Lane residence. The caller said the would-be burglars had a knife and a gun and were threatening to kill the occupants, Peck said.
The call drew several Farmington police officers and Franklin County sheriff’s deputies to the residence, he said.
Police found four people at the scene, and there was a knife and an air gun, he said.
Prior to the incident, one of the people charged with terrorizing called an occupant’s relative an offensive name, which then escalated into a confrontation at Pillsbury Lane, Peck said.
Police charged Anthony Eisenberg, 19, of Farmington, Kasey L. Blodgett, 21, of Weld, and Jesse R. Coffin, 19, of Lewiston and an unnamed juvenile with terrorizing, Peck said. The three men were taken to the Franklin County jail in Farmington; the 17-year-old Farmington boy was released to his parents’ custody, Peck said.
Eisenberg and Blodgett were also each charged with violation of condition of release related to prior criminal conduct, Peck said. Both remained in jail at noon Monday.
Coffin was released Monday after posting $500 cash bail, according to the arrest log.
