AUBURN – Plans are under way for Trinity Jubilee Center’s fourth annual Empty Bowls Supper, to be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at the First Universalist Church, Pleasant Street.

Diners attending purchase bowls created by local artisans and students and receive a meal of soup, bread, beverage and dessert, all donated by local establishments.

Bowl creators for this year’s event include Cabin Pottery, Jody Dube, Edgecomb Pottery, Georgetown Pottery, Maxwell’s Pottery, The Potter’s House, Pottery by Celia, Sara Tardif, Terri Wentzel and the Potters of Edward Little High School, and Jennifer Wood and the potters of St. Dom’s High School.

Soup will be provided by Chopstick’s, Davinci’s, Gipper’s, Little Dan’s BBQ, Marco’s and the Lewiston Regional Technical Center Culinary Arts Café; bread will be provided by Grant’s Bakery, Italian Bakery and Little Dan’s BBQ; and desserts will be provided by Dore’s Cafe, Heather’s Bakery, Governor’s Restaurant, Sam’s Catering and Subway Restaurants of Lewiston-Auburn.

Violinist Greg Boardman and his string students will provide background music for diners.

The Empty Bowls Supper will benefit Trinity Jubilee Center, a nonprofit soup kitchen and emergency food pantry dedicated to advocacy for those in need in the greater Lewiston-Auburn area. Tickets start at $10 (depending on bowl selected) and are available at the door.
