I’m a sixth-grade student and I want to inform the people of Lewiston, it is against the law for dog owners to leave dog waste in public places. There is a $50 fine for people caught the first time.

For a second offense, the fine is $100.

I’m tired of seeing what dogs leave behind in my yard and on my school track and other places I go.

For those who need reminding, please pick up after your dog.
