WATERBURY, Conn. – Raymond W. Morrill, 83, died April 11, in Waterbury, where he and his wife, Anne Marie, had resided for many years.
He was the son of Harold W. and Marguerite (Frank) Morrill. He lived in Mechanic Falls and graduated from high school in 1941. At the age of 17, he joined the U.S. Army during World War II, and served his tour of duty in Germany.
When he returned home he worked at the Waterfalls Paper mill. Later he moved to Connecticut, where he worked at Pratt & Whitney for many years. He also worked delivering auto parts. He retired in 2007.
Survivors include his daughter, Althea; sons, David and Brian; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and his sisters, Kathryn Sylvester of Poland and Arlene Harris of Mechanic Falls.
