FARMINGTON – Farmington Emblem Club 460 began its April meeting night with a potluck supper at 6 p.m. Newly installed President Sylvia Richards called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. and three women were initiated into the club: Brittany Conley, Victoria Heffler and Jane Wadsworth. There were 31 members present, 60 absent and three new for a total of 94.
Richards asked each committee chairwoman to give their year-end report. A discussion was held regarding the new club contract with Farmington Elks 2430 for the use of the hall for club meetings and other events.

The club voted to help send two girls from Mt. Blue High School to Girls State in June, one from Wilton and one from Farmington; to purchase a horse cooler blanket for the Farmington Fair Horseman’s Association; and to send a donation to a mother to help with the expenses of taking her ill son to appointments. Volunteers from the club will bake cookies for a soil and conservation event.
This month’s 50-50 raffle was won by Janette Jackson, the mystery gift by Cheryl Deshaies, and the pot of gold by Sylvia Richards.
The club will honor their choice of Citizen of the Year at the May meeting.
