LISBON – The Lisbon Community School partnered with Lisbon DARE to welcome DARE’s “safety buddy,” Retro Bill, to perform his “Safety and Self-Esteem Show” for students in kindergarten to fifth grade on March 31.

Retro Bill is a nationally recognized, supercharged and dedicated children’s advocate. He is currently the most in-demand kindergarten through high school assembly performer and motivational speaker in the United States.

“Retro Bill captured the attention of all Lisbon Community School students as he wove his way through safety topics, such as respect for parents, teachers and adults and having a positive attitude, while amusing the crowd with rubber chickens and foam fingers,” said Lisbon School Resource Officer Darin Estes.

Retro Bill performed Sunday night at the Cumberland County Civic Center after the Portland Pirates game and performed Monday afternoon in York. He has returned to his home in Hollywood, Calif., after performances in New Hampshire.
