MINOT – Karen Flagg, secretary of Androscoggin Grange 8 in Greene, volunteered to read “Oh Say Can You Seed” to Suzanne Madden’s second-grade class at Minot Consolidated School.

The project was sponsored by Maine Agriculture in the Classroom. The purpose is to promote understanding of the food and fiber system in Maine and in the nation through infusion of agricultural concepts into existing primary, secondary and post-secondary curricula.

The students had refreshments while the story was read to them and they had questions and observations to share afterward.
