WATERVILLE – Joshua Walker, 19, beloved son of Tracy Allen Walker of Winslow and Kimball Walker of Waterville, perished in the early morning hours Friday, April 11, in a tragic fire.

Josh grew up in Winslow and had recently returned from two years in Florida. He will always be remembered for his love of life, which was contagious, his heart of gold, his wonderful smile and his love for family, friends and animals. Josh was a lone N.Y. Yankee fan among a Red Sox family, and was almost always seen in Yankee hats. His brother Lee was his best friend, and he had a particular bond with his Grandpa Finley, with whom he learned to play ball and ride motor bikes. He was happiest when enjoying outdoor activities such as kayaking with his mom and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he will be sadly missed by his brother and best friend, Lee, of Winslow; his maternal grandparents, Finley and Barbara Allen of Florida; paternal grandparents Roger and Charlene Walker, also of Florida; Josh was a much loved nephew of John and Laurie Allen of Waterville, Dawn and Larry Gordon of Auburn, Gene Allen of Washington, D.C., and Finley and Debra Allen of Florida, as well as Eric and Roger Walker, Lisa Gould and Nancy Butler; he also had many cousins who loved him like a brother and will miss him dearly. All feel blessed to have had him in their lives. He spoke of Chelsea often and he enjoyed spending time with the boys, Joe, Christian, Tom, Nick and Scott.
