LEEDS – A 22-year-old Augusta man was killed in a motorcycle accident Saturday afternoon on Route 202 near the intersection of Route 106.

Police aren’t releasing the identity of the man, who was riding with a group when the accident occurred around 3:40 p.m. The man lost control of his motorcycle and struck a guardrail.

According to the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department, the man lost control of his 2007 Yamaha YZ 1000 after doing a wheelie. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene.

Leeds Fire Department and Turner Rescue also responded.
