Lawn sale

LIVERMORE – A benefit lawn sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at the North Livermore Baptist Church to raise money for four young people to attend the national gathering of Baptist youth in Estes Park, Colo., in July. There will be treasures for everyone from antiques to collectibles to clothes. There will also be a bake sale.

Potluck dinner

INDUSTRY – A mud season potluck community dinner will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at the Industry Town Hall, sponsored by Shorey Chapel. All are welcome.

Church supper

NEW SHARON – A public supper will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at the New Sharon United Methodist Church Annex. The menu will include baked beans, casseroles, corn casseroles, jellied salads, chop suey, macaroni and cheese, hot rolls, homemade pie and coffee. The price is $7 for adults and $2 for children under 12.

The monthly supper, held on the fourth Saturday of the month, is sponsored by the Woman’s Society of the church. The proceeds will be used for expenses and the building fund.

Rummage sale

RANGELEY – The Episcopal Church Women of Good Shepherd, Main Street, will host their spring rummage sale from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 9, and 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 10.

At the last half hour Saturday sale bags will be provided for shoppers to fill for $1. Bargains on household items and clothing for all ages will be available as well as a boutique assortment.

Proceeds will benefit the church and community outreach .

Homemakers meet

CHESTERVILLE – The Franklin County Homemakers annual spring meeting will be hosted Thursday, May 1, by the North Chesterville Extension Homemakers at the Chesterville Town Office, Dutch Gap Road.

Registration will begin at 4 p.m., followed by a business meeting, supper and entertainment provided the Mt. Blue High School Syncopations. Supper choices are ham or veggie pasta at a cost of $3.50 a person.

Bottle drive

TURNER – The Turner Athletic Association will hold its annual bottle drive on Saturday, May 3.

Athletes will visit homes in the Turner area to pick up returnable bottles. The bottles will be brought to Schrepp’s Bottle Redemption. All the proceeds will be added to the TAA fund in order to buy new equipment and work on fields for all the sports.

To donate bottles ahead of time, drop them off at Schrepp’s and let them know it is a TAA donation.
