LIVERMORE – Charles A. “Chuck” Greeley, 42, a resident of Turkey Lane Road in Livermore, died very suddenly Saturday, April 19, at his home.

He was born on Dec. 16, 1965, in Augusta, the son of Alfred Greeley and Nancy (Cox) Morris. He was a graduate of Livermore Falls High School, Class of 1984, and continued his education at the University of Maine in Augusta earning his B.A. degree in business in 1988.

On Feb. 15, 1997, he married Donna Costello in Hebron. Chuck had worked for UPS for 12 years and most recently was self-employed; owning area apartment buildings and, along with his wife Donna, owned and operated C & D Baskets in Livermore.

In 1999, he was diagnosed with stage four Hodgkin’s disease and fought a tough battle; he had been cancer free for nine years. He and Donna were longtime supporters and advocates of the Androscoggin County Relay for Life. He was an avid fisherman, camper and enjoyed the Celtics, Red Sox and Patriots; he was also a brown belt in Karate.

He was a devoted husband, father, son and family man and will be remembered for his love of socializing and cheerful personality. His family was the love of his life. He also loved the company of his constant companion, his dog “Rokkyo.”

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna of Livermore; his mother and stepfather, Nancy and Mac Morris of Livermore Falls and Venice Fla.; his father, Alfred Greeley of Livermore Falls, his beloved maternal grandmother, Evelyn Stinson of Sandy River Rehab Center, with whom he was extremely close; they shared many talks together which helped him greatly through his painful times; three sons, Adam Berry and his companion, Ashlee Ciarcia, of Livermore, Aron Berry and his wife, Danielle, of Virginia Beach, Va., and Austin Greeley of Livermore; a sister, Carrie Barnes of Jay; two stepsisters, Mavis Dubord and her husband, Robert, of Jay and Marsha James and her husband, Charles, of Jay; a stepbrother, Merritt Morris and his wife, Crystal, of Turner; the light of his life, his granddaughter, Tegan Berry; father-in-law, Roger Costello and his companion, Marge Norwood, of Maryland; a sister-in-law, Tina Simoneau and her husband, Jaye, of Jay; brother-in-law, Jerry Costello and his wife, Sharon, of Mount Vernon; aunts, Sandra Starbird of Wilton and Glenna Nowell of Gardiner; uncles, Bertrom Cox and his wife, Gail, of Scarborough, Robert Greeley and his wife, Frances, of Sidney and Alvin Greeley and his wife, Margaret, of Gardiner; nieces, nephews, great-nephews and many cousins.

He was predeceased by his grandfather, Howard Stinson; an aunt, Irene “Renie” Cox; and his mother-in-law, Fernande Costello.
