BIDDEFORD – Marie Jeanne C. Bisson, 82, of Goosefare Drive, Old Orchard Beach, formerly of Lewiston, died Sunday, April 20, at Southern Maine Medical Center, surrounded by her husband and son.
She was born in Rumford, April 14, 1926, a daughter of Martial and Rose Anna Letourneau St. Pierre.
She moved to Old Orchard Beach from Lewiston in 1979. She and her husband owned and operated, Roger’s Motel on Saco Avenue in the Halfway Section of Old Orchard Beach until their retirement in 1989.
She was a member of St. Margaret’s Parish in Old Orchard Beach.
She enjoyed knitting for her friends and family, always smiling.
Survivors include her husband, Roger N. Bisson of Old Orchard Beach; a daughter, Rachel Hicks and her husband, Sam, of Crofton, Md.; a son, Richard and his wife, Paula, of Saco; two grandsons, John Rock of Baltimore, Md., and Matthew Bisson of Saco; two granddaughters, Courtney and Julie Cantara, of Saco.
She was predeceased by a grandson, David Rock of Maryland; her sister and husband, Therese and Gerard Laplante, of Lisbon Falls; and another sister, Fernande Laplante of Tennessee.
