LEWISTON – Florence C. Parise, 93, of Wood Street, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 21, at Montello Manor with her devoted husband of 24 years and her loving family by her side.

She was born in Jackman, Aug. 4, 1914, the daughter of Philip and Mary Giroux Huard.

She worked for many years in the mills and shoe shops in Lewiston until her retirement. She enjoyed many summers on Little Sebago Lake and loved to play cards and make things like knitted blankets and crafts for her family and friends. She was a generous, kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Surviving are her husband, Alfred J. Parise of Lewiston; two daughters, Lorraine Ducharme and her loving husband, Robert, of Turner and Shirley Giguere and her loving companion, Norm Couture, of Hobe Sound, Fla.; 15 grandchildren, Patricia Samson, Gerard Ducharme, Theresa Gagnon, Susanne and husband, Marc Bedard, Larry Ducharme, Juliette Gosselin and companion, Mike McCullough, Raymond Ducharme and wife, Dinah, JoAnn and husband, Dan Paladino, Brian Ducharme, Jackie Howes, Danny Giguere and wife, Peggy, Diane and husband, John Todd, Leo Giguere and companion, Donna, Debbie and husband, Bruce St.Onge and Ray Giguere and wife, Brenda; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Lydia Huard of Burbank, Calif., Jeannette and husband, Gerard Poussard, of Lewiston and Rita and husband, Roland Brousseau, of Lewiston; three brothers-in-law, Alfred’s twin brother, Albert Parise and wife, Brenda, of Lewiston, Martin Parise and wife, Pat, of Florida, and Gerry Howard and wife, Noella, of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by her son, Richard Caron; her sister, Elise; and three brothers, Louis, Philip and Wilfred Huard.

Her family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Montello Manor and Androscoggin Hospice Care for their excellent care of Florence.
