NORWAY – The Friends of Norway Library will hold a “Tea Tales and Tea Tasting” event at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 27, to honor the library’s volunteers. It will also be the Friends annual meeting that this year celebrates its 21st anniversary.
Volunteers serve the library in a variety of ways, including as Friends and trustees, book sale and book mobile helpers, computer lab monitors, preparing newsletter mailings, planning programs and events, shelf reading and gardening.
The Friends welcome anyone interested in becoming a library volunteer to attend the tea to find out about the many opportunities. Anyone wishing to participate should RSVP to the information desk at 743-5309.
This year the tea will focus on the varieties of teas and their healthy qualities. In addition, those who wish to tell a “tea tale” are welcome to share a short story about a tea experience.
To accompany the tea tastings there will be treats made from local foods, including apples, blueberries and maple syrup. For more information, call the library at 743-5309.
