CLAREMONT, N.H. (AP) – The body of a middle-age man has been found floating in a swampy area in Claremont.

Police said they received a report Thursday morning about a body in an inlet from the Sugar River behind Spofford Street. The body was taken to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy on Friday.

Investigators said there was no identification on the body, which apparently had been there for a while. There are also no reports of missing persons in the area.

Anyone with information was asked to call Claremont police at 603-542-9538.
