POLAND – Dmitri Gatziogannis hurled a complete-game five-hitter to lead Wells to a 2-1 win over Poland in a Western Maine Conference baseball game Saturday.

Gatziogannis (2-0) fanned five and walked none. The Warriors (2-0) scored on a fielder’s choice in the third and an RBI single by Josh Mayo in the fifth.

Poland (2-1) scored its lone run in the bottom of the seventh on an RBI groundout by Dartanyan Bourget. Nick Douglass (0-1) fanned six and allowed five hits over five innings to suffer the loss. Douglass led Poland with three hits.
