LITTLETON, Colo. – Doris (Mosher) Coombs, 88, of Littleton, Colo., formerly of Temple, died peacefully on April 1, at an extended care facility in Littleton, Colo. She moved to Colorado in 2004 to be closer to her son.

She was born on March 26, 1920, in Temple, the daughter of Mark and Clara (Cony) Mosher. After the death of her mother at a young age, she was raised by her father and her beloved step-mother, Marie Mosher.

Doris attended Temple and Farmington schools.

In 1948, she married Roger W. Coombs and lived in Vassalboro, eventually returning to Temple. Doris was the bookkeeper for both her husband’s business, The Farmington Laundry and Dry Cleaners, and her father’s company, The Co-operative Land Co.

She is survived by her son, Alan Coombs and his wife, Gail, and their daughter, Elizabeth, all of Littleton, Colo.; her brother, Hollis Mosher and his wife, Natalie, of Temple; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Roger, in 2005; a son, Paul Coombs; and a brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Adrie Mosher.
