LEWISTON – The Franco-American Heritage Center is announcing the third annual Festival FrancoFun, scheduled Friday through Sunday, Aug. 1 to 3, at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee. Festival FrancoFun is a cultural celebration of the music, cuisine, language and heritage of Franco-Americans in the communities of Lewiston and Auburn.
Again this year, the entire event will be presented at the colisee, home of the Maineiacs, on Birch Street. The newly renovated facility will serve the festival by providing ample space, parking and a familiar destination.
FrancoFun will host daily concerts and maintain concession areas, serving food from early morning to close of the day. More information on event cultural activities will be made available in the near future.
If interested in becoming a volunteer at the festival, call 689-2000. Those wishing may also submit a request to volunteer on the FrancoFun Web site at www.festivalfrancofun.com.
