Auburn – James Priola, 60, of Poland, was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Feb. 5, 1948, and died on Saturday, April 26.

He was educated in Brooklyn, N.Y. schools, Mercy Hospital School of Radiology, L.I., N.Y., and Ultrasound Training at Bellevue, N.Y.U., N.Y.C., N.Y.

He married Sheila O’Sullivan on Aug. 26, 1972. He worked for Maine Medical Center in Portland from 1974 to 1985, as Chief Technologist for Ultrasound, which included training many sonographers who currently practice in Maine.

From 1985 to 2007, he was a founder and president of Mobile Medical Imaging Services in Portland.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila; his four sons and their wives, Brian and Sonja Priola, of Otisfield, Emil and Sherry Priola, of Poland, Luke and Claire Priola, of Norway and Mark and Jessica Priola, of Casco; and 12 grandchildren; his sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Paul Angon of Huntington, Conn.; and brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Susan Priola, of Hernando, Fla.; and in-laws, Eileen and John O’Sullivan of Poland.

He was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Marion Priola; and his sister, Marion Priola Byrne.
