South Paris – Janice G. Hoskins, 70, of Hill Street Commons, South Paris, died on Saturday, April 26, at Market Square Health Care Center.
She was born in South Paris, March 4, 1938, a daughter of Wilder and Alta Harriman Merrill. She attended Paris schools and graduated from Paris High School and Fanny Farmer Cooking School. Janice was employed as a cook at Ledgeview, Market Square Health Care Center and the Odd Fellows Home. She was a member of the Thalian Club, Womens Club and the “morning coffee girls,” at Hill Street Commons. She enjoyed needlepoint and was an avid reader.
She is survived by three daughters, Sharon Lee Roach and her husband, William, of El Paso, Texas, Brenda Stearns and her husband, Mark, of South Paris, Joanne Hoskins and her partner, Eric Bankston, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; six grandchildren, Kara, Chad, Marissa, Jasmine, Corey and Daniel; and two great-grandchildren, Malia and Kallista; a sister, Barbara Gowell and her husband, Charlie, of South Paris; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Robert L. in 2006; and a sister, Patricia King.
