PARIS – Weston Mason was named Veteran of the Month at the Maine Veterans Home in South Paris recently.

Mason was born in Clinton, July 27, 1914. He was the only child in his family. He graduated from Canton High School. Mason served in the Coast Guard from 1941 until 1945, stationed in New York State. He attained the rank of machinist during World War II and worked on submarine patrol.

Mason married his first wife Cora, and together they raised four children in the Windham area. He worked at Windham Electric as an electrician after his discharge from the service.

After Cora’s death, Mason married Beulah Mason, who lives in Windham. Mason has many grandchildren. He enjoys the Red Sox and watching football.
