LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on April 28 with 28 members present.
Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and for the men and women in the armed forces.
Reported on the sick list were Dora Slovak and Lucille Frechette. Shirley Toncer was reported to be at the home of her granddaughter and doing well.
SeniorsPlus will hold a conference on Monday, June 2, at the Livermore Falls Town Office where staff will explain the programs they have to offer and will hand out emergency bags. A light lunch will be provided and all senior citizens are welcome. They expect to close the Wilton facility sometime in the year 2009.

Beano will be played Monday, May 5, and Ken Smith will provide popcorn.
Ice cream and cake were served in honor of those celebrating birthdays in April: Gloria Dalessandro, Dora Slovak, Barbara Begin, Marie Gagnon, Betty Ventrella and Zeke Richards.
The 50-50 was won by Marilyn Desoto and the cookies were won by Margaret Slovak. The meeting was adjourned and cards and games were played.
