LEWISTON – Stephen Scott Sylvester, 51, of Auburn, passed away on April 26, at Central Maine Medical Center, with family at his side.

He was born June 19, 1956, the son of Gloria Brooks of Auburn and Ralph B. Sylvester of Auburn and Florida. He was educated in Auburn schools and served in the U.S. Army.

He worked in the construction field most of his life. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with his family and friends. He was a kind and gentle man who will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

He is survived by his parents; his sister, Alinda Kadziauskas and her husband, John, of New Gloucester; a daughter, Brandy of Turner; three nieces, Kelly Roy of Saco, Lyndsey Kadziauskas of Casco and Marina Kadziauskas of New Gloucester; one nephew, Kristopher Kadziauskas of New Gloucester; one great-niece, Emma Lynn Willigar of Saco; aunts, uncles and cousins; and close family friend, Lynwood Towle.
