Lisa Laflin, community building coordinator for the Healthy Community Coalition, was honored by Western Maine Community Action during its annual all-staff day. Laflin, second from right, was nominated for the award by the Energy and Housing Resources Program at WMCA. Judy Frost, right, program manager, cited Laflin’s work in organizing the Western Maine Homeless Coalition. Laflin was also recognized for her support of creating a service kiosk in the WMCA Service Center. At the left are Fen Fowler, executive director of WMCA, and Jane Mickeriz, president of the WMCA board of directors.
